First season sire Nothing to Lose (USA) has now had three runners to the track for two winners which have resulted from a very small crop and a modest book of broodmares.
His latest winner is Senora Nenita who was a $24,000 purchase from last year's Magic Millions National Horses In Training Sale.
Senora Nenita (ex Czarina) was purchased by Antonio Snr from the Philippines and recently won the 1400 metre Imported Maiden in Manila by two lengths at her first start on 23 April 2011. His most notable runner to date has been Collector who took out the JJ Atkins 2YO Plate last month with earnings totalling $120,500. His latest run was a fourth at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
It is worth noting that from all the horses that rank higher than Nothing to Lose in the First Season Sires list, all have had more than 8 runners in Australia. In terms of the Average Earners Index (AEI), Nothing To Lose is currently second behind Written Tycoon who is the leading First Season Sire at the moment.
Nothing To Lose was a Group 1 winner in America and won the Shadwell Turf Mile by 4.5 lengths. He stands at Willowbend Stud in Queensland at a fee of $7,700.
