Nothing To Lose (USA) has already had a 2YO stakeswinner from only 23 runners and he now also has a stakes placegetter with Venture On running second to Mental in the Listed Daybreak Lover (1600m) at Eagle Farm yesterday.
Mental is arguably Australia’s most promising 3YO and was considered good enough to be nominated for the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap and while he didn’t get a start in the Stradbroke he is quality horse and it also indicates Venture On’s class in finishing just behind him.
The Brian Smith trained Venture On is only lightly raced having had only 7 starts for 3 wins, 1 second and 1 third.
After the race Smith said, “He (Venture On) is a very good horse and I was happy with the run. I have seven Nothing To Lose’s in work and they are all tough and have ability”.
He also went on to say that Venture On will be targeted at the Caloundra Guineas and will be an extremely good chance.
Interest in Nothing To Lose’s progeny is growing at a rapid rate with trainers having admiration for their conformation, speed, acceleration and toughness.
His stud statistics speak for themselves and why wouldn’t they because Nothing To Lose was a sensational racehorse.
